Question

How can I stop premature ejaculation?

Answer

The right way for you to stop premature ejaculation depends on what’s causing it.

Some people might have had premature ejaculation since their first sexual experience, whereas others develop it over time. Generally, if you’ve had premature ejaculation all your life, it probably can’t be cured, but it can be managed, so it’s not such a problem. If you’ve developed premature ejaculation, successful treatment of the underlying cause should fix the problem.

You’ll need to talk to a doctor to work out the cause of your premature ejaculation and the best treatment for you.

It’s unlikely your doctor will ask you about your sexual function unless there’s an obvious reason for talking about it, so you should just tell them that you’re having problems and you want help. They’ll ask you some questions and recommend what they think is right for you.
