Working Out Dads

The Murdoch Children’s Research Institute and Tweddle Child & Family Health Service are looking for dads of young children (aged 0-4 years) to get involved in a project about how to boost the health and wellbeing of dads during early parenthood.

Fathers living in and around the Geelong, Bendigo, Casey and Merri-bek City Council Areas are invited to join the study.

Dads who participate in the study are provided with one of the following forms of support:

  • Working Out Dads: A 6-week face-to-face group of 6-10 fathers, which includes time for discussion about being a dad, managing work and family life, and strategies to cope with stress. It also includes a 30-minute group personal training session with a personal trainer
  • Talking About Being a Dad: A brief discussion over the phone with a health professional from Tweddle Child & Family Health Service about what it is like to be a dad, about your health and wellbeing, and what resources and services are available for fathers.

For more information, take a look at the project website.
