Fractured penis

A fractured penis can happen when there’s too much force on an erect penis. There are no bones in the penis, so having a broken penis is not the same as having a broken arm, but an injury can cause the tissue inside the penis to rupture resulting in a fracture. There might be a cracking or popping sound, an erection will go down, causing a bruised penis and significant pain. A penis fracture needs urgent surgery, preferably within six hours of the fracture.
